Stock Options and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
When your employment with TI is terminated at retirement, your nonqualified stock options (NQSOs) and restricted stock units (RSUs) can be affected. Various provisions apply based on the circumstances of the termination. View the termination provisions under the stock option or RSU tab on the TI Equity Programs website for more details about how your retirement will affect your options. This site also has answers to many frequently asked questions and contact information for the TI Equity Programs office and the UBS Service Center.

It is your responsibility to manage your account and monitor the expiration date of your stock options. Options that expire cannot be reinstated and any gain associated with them will be lost. Options that expire on a weekend or holiday must be exercised by the end of the preceding trading day. Visit the UBS One Source* Web site to monitor and take action on your TI stock options.

To initiate payment of your financial benefits from TI, call TI HR Connect at 888-660-1411 and select the option for the TI Benefits Center or log in to NetBenefits. For TIers with 401(k) benefits, you can request a plan distribution the day after retirement. If you participate in the TI pension plan, you can initiate your pension payments approximately 45 days before retiring, but these payments cannot be received until after your retirement date.

Retiree health benefits
Approximate annual rates for extended health benefits coverage for eligible retirees can be found on the Health Benefits* website under the menu item "Health Plan Premiums." Select the link for "Extended Health Benefits Coverage" to get detailed information on eligibility and pricing. Due to the complexity of determining individual situations for retiree coverage, it is important to use this information as a guide only. To verify your exact coverage as a retiree and qualifications for retirement, contact the TI Benefits Center through TI HR Connect at 888-660-1411.

Should you choose not to enroll in extended health benefit coverage, you and/or your eligible dependents may be eligible to continue health coverage for up to 18 months under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA). If so, you will receive COBRA election information under separate cover.
